Cook Islands Tivaevae Association Logo



1 Vine - Tatuara

This tivevae was commissioned by Mrs. Mareta Teipo to be given to her son Yannik. The tivaevae was displayed at the 2001 show for the departing Orometua Vaine (pastor's wife). Mrs Mary Soatini, and received first prize in the overall count because of the rich embroidery. It was designed by Tungata Bonza and sewn by Tara Ona.

2 White Lillies - Tatuara

Cut, sewn and owned by "Auntie bob" (Mrs Mapu Rouru) in 1996.

3 Tipani Vareau - Manu

This tivaevae manu was sewn with embroidrey thread, adding a special accent to the intricately cut pattern. It was sewn and is property of Mrs. Pepe Dougherty.
